AsSalaamAlaikum Dear Community,
During the holy month of Ramadan Muslims dedicate more time to studying the Qur’an for enlightenment and guidance; this year will be no different.
The Speakers are asked to identify one or more of the following topics (see below) from the required 1/30 daily reading, provide explanation that includes the contemporary language and commentary of Imam W. Deen Mohammed (raa).
The Callers are asked to come prepared each morning with a composition book sectioned by topics (see below). When the Speaker provides explanation on the topic, the Caller will use the composition book to write notes in the proper sections.
- Signs: symbols and metaphors
- Vocabulary: English and Arabic meanings
- Theme: stories, lessons, and historical occurrences
At the end of Ramadan, we will have a rich collection of Qur’anic knowledge that we can continue to build upon throughout the rest of the year - to use in our everyday life, insha-Allah.
We want this Ramadan to be engaging, thought-provoking and to support a conscious intended purpose; to G-d is the goal!
