Daniel Selby, PhD, CPA, CISA

Dr. Daniel Selby is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Virginia, California, and Florida and is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor. Daniel has over 20 years of experience in audit, IT automated controls, internal controls, risk management, specialized agreed-upon procedures and payroll and financial reporting, governance, manual business processes, compliance, and financial reporting.
Daniel has also taught undergraduate and graduate Auditing, Advanced Auditing, IT Auditing, Accounting Information Systems, Intermediate Accounting, Financial Accounting, and Managerial Accounting at Florida State University, Florida A&M University, and University of Richmond. Daniel has demonstrated his thought leadership to practitioners in Europe, Africa, and throughout the US. Daniel’s research has been published in numerous academic and practitioner journals.

Education and Certifications: Daniel earned his Doctorate of Accounting from Florida State University, Masters in Accounting Information Systems from Florida State University, MBE Certification from Dartmouth – Tuck School of Business, and B.S. in Accounting from Norfolk State University.

Hud Williams
Hud K. Williams, is the Regional Manager at Saturna Capital, which he joined in June 2021. He has over 20 years of financial services experience, working in a variety of fields from financial systems implementation to Islamic-compliant home finance. His education background includes an undergraduate degree in Economics (Old Dominion University), and MBA with a finance concentration (Georgia Institute of Technology), and he is currently working on a Certificate in Islamic Finance (The International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance, INCEIF, located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia).
Mr. Williams is married with six children and splits his time between family, work, and the community. He is currently serving on the board of the Atlanta Masjid of Al Islam and Muslim Aid USA relief organization.
Khafi Knox-McDowell
Khafi Knox-McDowell born in 1974 is a native of Philadelphia, PA one from a family of 8 children, she has 20 years of experience with accounting, business and financial management, and community program planning within the educational and non-profit sectors. She has acquired a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Business Management as well as a Masters’ Degree in Accounting and Information Technology. She currently serves on the Board of Masjid Muhammad/The Nations Mosque in addition to functioning as the Chief Financial Officer of the organization.
Khafi has been a key leader of several community-based events and organizations over the last 20 years. Including serving as the lead coordinator for the Islamic Festival in Philadelphia for the last 9 years. The Islamic Festival is an annual event which has been held for the last 26 years celebrating and sharing the unity and diversity amongst Muslims with the general community. The festival is the oldest established Muslim festival in America.
She has also served on several global interfaith exchanges from Rome with the Focalare to Ireland with the Global Peace Foundation. She was also a part of a 30-day study tour in Malaysia where a group of young Muslims traveled throughout the country meeting with government officials, religious leaders and other youth leaders with opportunities for productive exchange that could benefit all of humanity.
She has been a key planner and leader of the NYAA (National Young Adult Association) is a young adult organization geared toward getting young Muslims more involved in building a successful community life through the utilization of their professional skill sets. In addition, she has been a key contributor to NASIM (New African Students of Imam Mohammed) an organization created to share the beautiful balanced approach to Islam through the teachings of the late great Imam WD Mohammad. Through this conference which is in its 5th year the group has been able to facilitate discussions about Politics, Community Life, Culture and Business with key high-level officials from their respective areas.
Khafi has also graduated from the Karamah Executive Leaders Program. The Karamah Program is a high-level introduction to Islamic Jurisprudence, Leadership and Conflict Resolution. The invited participants to the program traveled from all around the world. The Howard University Mini MBA Program for Ministers and Spiritual leaders was another great accomplishment. During this program she led her team to receive honorable recognition for the final requirements of the program. A second generation indigenous Muslim American she is a resident of Washington DC she lives there with her husband of 9 years Barrett.
