IMAM ABDEL J. NURIDDIN, N.D., Ph.D.

Imam Abdel J. Nuriddin, N.D., Ph.D.

The accomplished seventy one year-old Imam is married with three children. Imam Nuriddin established his faith in the religion of “Al-Islam” as a result of studying the Holy Qur’an, the Bible, and the life of Prophet Muhammed under the adeptness of Imam W. Deen Mohammed.

Preceding that research was his initial practice of “Islam” in 1972 under the leadership of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. 

He received his BA and MA in Nutrition from the American Holistic College of Nutrition in Birmingham, Alabama. In addition Dr. Nuriddin holds a PhD in Holistic Nutrition from the American Holistic College of Nutrition.  His Doctorate Degree in Naturopathy is from the Clayton School of Natural Healing also in Birmingham, Alabama.  Dr Nuriddin has studied with Dr. Bill Horosh, Dr. E. C. Watkins, Mr. Michael Coyle, and Mr. John Andrews MH, Ir, of the United Kingdom. He is a Diplomat of Holistic Iridology awarded by The International Institute of Iridology class of 2008.

Today Dr. Nuriddin lives in Greensboro, North Carolina where he owns and operates Genesis Health & Nutrition Center LLC with his wife Connie. Dr. Nuriddin is the author of two books, Help Yourself To Ultimate Health, Know the   Causes, symptoms, & solutions To Optimal Health. and Co-author of The Five Essentials of Balanced Health.

Currently he serves as The Convener of Imams in the Community of Imam W.Deen Mohammed for the Mid Atlantic Section of the United States.Dr. Nuriddin is a sought after speaker in Mosques, Churches, on College and University campuses throughout the United States of America and Caribbean and he holds a number of awards and citations for community work. 

Dr. Nuriddin has been a columnist for the International News Paper Muslim Journal for almost 3 decades and he continues to write a weekly column on health today. He is the Executive Producer and Host of a live call-in weekly TV program. This program is produced on cable 8 TV, and viewed each Wednesday at 7:00PM in the city of Greensboro, North Carolina. Abdul Shaheed

In 2015 Abdul Shaheed enrolled in the Disease Prevention and Healthy Longevity course at the American School of Symptometry to satisfy the prerequisite for the bachelor’s course at the American School of Symptometry. He has been a Certified Symptometry Health Coach since 2016 and completed the Bachelor of Science course at the American School of Symptometry in cellular health and root-cause therapeutics, 2018.

Presently, he serves his family and community in the capacity of Certified Symptometry Health Coach by helping those who are ready to prevent or recover from their diseases or health conditions at the root level. And, he is continuing his studies in the Doctoral Program at the American School of Symptometry.

Hajja Monica Abdul Saleem, a Personal Trainer & Group Fitness Instructor for over 15 years and Owner of Twist and Turns Body Fitness in Washington, DC with her Yogi daughter, Ajeenah Abdul-Haqq.  Monica is a graduate of Howard University, with a master’s in Guidance & Counseling from Trinity University in Washington, DC. She is Certified by both the Athletics Fitness Association of America and the National Personal Training Institute.

She is dedicated to helping others live a healthier lifestyle to achieve their maximum fitness goals. Her personal and group fitness clients have remained loyal and consistent before, during COVID and Post- COVID by continuing to maintain their daily workouts with Monica. Traveling, meditating, and bicycling are Monica’s favorite pastimes. 

Monica has volunteered and continues teaching fitness classes for over eight years at Masjid Muhammad’s Kibar Nutrition site for senior adults. She has also conducted fitness classes for non-profits and Washington, DC government programs.

Lynne T. Hill, Medicare Plan Advisor

Lynne T. Hill, a native and resident of Savannah, Georgia, is married with two sons. She has been a member of Masjid Jihad since 1998, where she works with the Majlis Ash Shuraa, and serves as chairperson of the Fundraising Committee.

 She has B.A., and M.A degrees in Psychology from the University of Georgia, and Georgia Southern University, respectively. Previously, she worked in the mental health field. Currently, she is a Medicare plan and life insurance advisor licensed in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Florida. Feel free to inquire about other states. Sulieman Wazeerud-Din | DR. WAZ

Dr. Sulieman Wazeerud-Din, also known as Dr. Waz, is the chief medical officer and managing partner at Replenish by NomadMD, an intravenous (IV) wellness boutique that focuses on the body’s health, wellness and recovery. Dr. Waz is an Atlanta native and a graduate from Auburn University where he lettered in Track and Field. He is also a Morehouse School of Medicine graduate and obtained his board certification in emergency medicine in 2010. He has an extensive medical background working in the emergency departments of multiple hospitals and conducting research. Over the years, Dr. Waz has received multiple awards for his work.

In 2011, Dr. Waz founded NomadMD, an elite concierge medical group while also joining Britt Driggers on the Replenish team as partner and CMO. His positivity, magnetic personality and leadership skills are what make Dr. Waz a success. With Replenish by NomadMD, he is committed to promoting healthy living and providing an affordable alternative to the emergency department through the use of IV therapy.

Dr. Waz continues to work in the emergency departments at Northside Hospital and Atlanta Medical Center where he maintains the role of Assistant Medical Director and Vice Chairman. He also serves on the board of the Family Health Centers of Georgia. In his spare time, Dr. Waz enjoys running, biking, golfing and playing soccer. He serves as a mentor to students interested in pursuing careers in medicine and takes pride in conducting interviews for the admissions Department of Morehouse School of Medicine. Dr. Waz takes a special interest in community development, history, promoting healthy lifestyle in obese children, and prides himself on being an advocate for those who can’t speak for themselves.


Shuron Abdullah, MS, Registered Respiratory Therapist, Retired, AHA BLS, HeartSaver Instructor

Sister Shuron Abdullah is a Native of Washington DC, and a life-time member of Masjid Muhammad, the Nation’s Mosque.
She is a daughter, sibling, wife, mother and grandmother, whose early childhood experiences included growing up in a close and supportive predominately African American community, the Nation of Islam which afforded her and other youth growing up in that era, with a strong sense of community life, respect for self and others plus a desire for continuous education.

At the age of 14, she graduated valedictorian from the University of Islam. Thereafter, she returned to assist the staff and students of the U.O.I which became the system of Clara Muhammad Schools, located throughout the nation, and Bermuda. Throughout the years, she has also volunteered with the Youth Islamic Weekend school, The Security/Hospitality Committees, the Health Team, now know as the Masjid Muhammad Health & Human Services Committee, and is also a current member of the Muslim Health Consortium.

A strong interest in the Sciences and Health fields led her to a career as a Register Respiratory Therapist, working chiefly in the acute care (hospital) setting.

Her 32-year journey in healthcare also afforded her the opportunities of not only providing bedside respiratory care to patients, but also to educate their family members, respiratory and nursing students, as well as community members about how to maintain and improve their health, plus quality of life, and being a co-manager of a Respiratory Therapy Department
.
Additionally, she was blessed to obtain an Undergraduate degree in Business Management from the University of Maryland University College (UMUC) in 2003, followed by a Master of Science Degree in Healthcare Administration from Marymount University (2009), become an Adjunct and Preceptor for Respiratory Students from UDC, Adventist and Salisbury Universities, plus a CPR instructor and Advocate for the American Heart Association.


Zainab Nasir

Zainab Nasir is an active member of Masjidul Waritheen in Oakland, CA and is the head of the Health and Wellness Committee. She has been married for 47 years to Abdul Ra’oof Nasir and they have seven children, six boys one girl; and fivegrandchildren, three girls and two boys. In 1987 Zainab and then her four boys travelled to the Sudan with her husband who wanted to continue his education in Arabic. This opportunity to travel there began her journey in studying the Arabic language. She has been an educator for over 30 years, initially starting her own day care that she operated for five years. Soon after that she was teaching in the Clara Mohammed Schools for 25 years in the early childhood department. This sparked another journey to continue her education in that field. She is also part of the Masjidul Waritheen AnNas program that educates children through teaching them Quran. Zainab made Hajj in 2015 with her son Yusuf; and this was a life changing event for her. It ignited even more of a desire to not only learn the Quran and teach it, but to understand and apply it in her daily life. Currently Zainab is an entrepreneur who owns her own business and is a student of the Islamic Learning Institute (ILI) as well as the Muslim American Logic Institute (M.A.L.I.).
